Absu "The Temples Of Offal / Return Of The Ancients" CD

Kaos Goat Productions + Black Montanas Present... [GOAT004] The South American Edition of this compilation of ABSU's legendary 'Return of the Ancients' (1991) demo tape and 'The Temples of Offal' (1992) EP. If you are not familiar with the history of this band in terms of their death metal beginnings, a complex thread of Plano/Dallas, Texas area projects in the late 80's, this was a step from the death/thrash metal of the Dolmen recordings into pure death metal which should surprise folks whom love 'Soulside Journey', Gorement, early Finnish death metal, and Autopsy. These recordings are foundational when paired with Absu's debut album, Dolmen rehearsals, and Magus' concurrent formative releases. A fine archival release which includes lyrics.
