Descripción In the silence between heaviness and melancholy, Alkimista returns with a new deeply introspective and emotional chapter. The Portuguese project led by Pedro Serpa continues to establish itself as a singular vision within the death/doom landscape — all sang in portuguese it's an artistic expression shaped by creative solitude, existential contemplation, and the transformation of pain into sonic atmosphere.
In this 4th album, closing out the tetralogy of the elements with “Air,” the recurring theme is contrast, paradox, and contradiction in the various aspects and facets of life. From love to human interaction, the very act of artistic creation, and its conflicts and contradictions. The sonic approach, reduced to simplicity: heavy and melodic. Smooth and rugged. Storm and calm take turns in a cycle that mirrors life.
