And we have another hit this year from Thrashing Madness. This time it was the demos of the Wrocław Leviathan. A little more and I will believe that thanks to Lech almost all the demos or forgotten by time and people albums of our metal underground from the turn of the 80s and 90s will be released. Seriously! Another release and another gem, which no one even dared to dream of reissuing on silver discs. And here you go, you have it! Leviathan took the best from the most extreme thrash bands and the emerging death metal of that time and created their own, sultry, raw and uncompromising hybrid of both genres. Both "Memento Mori" from 1990, "C'est La Vie" (1992), and the first demo of the band from 1989, added as a bonus, are breakneck gallops and solid pounding without being too small. Pure fire, fury and madness. It is true that from each of the demos you can extract some pieces, fragments that may seem a bit more subtle in terms of riffs, catchy (if in the case of Leviathan you can even talk about such a phenomenon), here and there slower, more marching, but when this happens, not a few moments pass, and they turn back into an untamed beast. It may not be something exceptional, groundbreaking, but it is another example of how much our scene was full of, namely how much passion for playing and energy can do together and what material can be born. Above all, it is the element and essence of a thrash storm. It is great to listen to, and additionally you have the opportunity to feel the unique atmosphere of those years through this playing and get to know another element of the history of our local scene. Priceless! As for the form of the release itself. There is no point in going into detail here, because subsequent Thrashing Madness albums literally outdo each other in striving for publishing perfection. And I'm not just talking about the bonuses or the quality itself, but also about the visual aspect. A lot of photos, a lot to read, a lot of memorabilia, etc. The booklets are so thick that it's hard to take them out of the box, which they barely close. I consider any recommendation or further praise to be completely unnecessary.
