compilation cd with the stuff recorded by this usa death metal band in the 90s

Cataclysm were a Brutal Death Metal Band from Louisville, USA.
They born in 1992 and sadly changed Name and Music Style in 1994.
They released 4 Demos under Name "Cataclysm". In 2021 Pathologically Explicit Recordings released their CD compilation with all their Stuff.

This release is incredible, 3 songs of pure old school death metal.
The particularity about this album is the quality it contains besides the obscurity it has. The recording and mixing is outstanding plus I can assure you that not many bands (special the underground ones like this) have this terrific sound.
Since the release is short I will proceed to talk about how it begins. The rehearsal starts with some kind of ambient gloomy harmony, made possibly by synths, next to that the instruments will appear instantly. The composition of the songs are magnificent, it reminds me of Obituary a little, guitars contain huge distorted raspy sounding and at the same time, they produce lots of brutal chords accompanied with palm mutes notes, there resides a couple of dissonant tremolos riffs making a perfect "bridge" for the song from time to time handed by blast beats also.
The vocalist makes serious deep growls alongside profound echoes, the voice seems to come from the catacombs or another dark deep area where vision does not exists. This is the feeling I got the first time I listened to this album. Just lugubrious places came to my mind.
The drumming is intensive, is not technical but powerful, harsh, rugged, grim, crusty, and the strength it has makes a horrific panorama (in a good way). I got the feeling that this drums where a little improvised at the time of recording.
Most of the demos I have heard does not possess the atmosphere that this band have created, is truly amazing, inspirational, is a pity that there is not much more material around from Cataclysm besides demos, this is a good point though, what is obscure, the lack of information, the "unknown" makes the metal mysterious, morbid, terrorizing and deeper.
