The band says “The songs themselves all deal with death (in its numerous guises), from various perspectives (such as suicide, spirits and the afterlife, possession, grief, etc). The songs can also be interpreted in many other ways, some of which have been outlined in the liner notes in the booklet.

The artwork focuses on the lyrical themes, and there is a separate piece to reflect each song, complimenting the lyrics in the booklet. The images themselves are derived from some of the ideas in the lyrics; but are not a direct representation of them, adding another dimension to the work”.
