North "Korona" CD Digipack

Descripción I don't know how long the reissue of this material was planned, but the Pomeranian North hit the nail on the head with the reissue of "Korona". Of course, this is a random coronavirus joke to start with, and now let's get to the point. The album "Korona" was released eighteen years ago, but now a reissue with the Werewolf Promotions badge has been released. And that's cool. I'm not a North fan, I never was and I probably won't be. I'm aware that such a band exists, I listened to their early recordings, but on a daily basis I don't start the day thinking "I have to listen to North today". "Korona" is almost fifty minutes of music and nine songs that ultimately haven't aged at all. However, if you haven't heard this album yet, I will dispel your, perhaps erroneous, belief about the work of this band. North is not a typical pagan black metal band, where sharp riffs are driven by a pipe. No, what we get here is a poisonous mix of black and death metal, which at the same time cannot be denied a certain loftiness and pomposity, but so slight that it is far from ridiculous. They are not bad to listen to, and I suspect that if someone is into pagan climates and likes bands from this genre, they have a gift from North here. And since this is a reissue, I will also mention that the publisher has released them in a nice form in the form of a digipack. This reissue is therefore a good opportunity to supplement the collection, and for some simply to get to know North. I think it is worth it.
