Somewhere in the north of Moravia, in the middle of a cemetery full of miners, there is an old half-decayed grave. I walk around it every day and wonder what attracts me so much. Finally, I had to take the pickaxe and shovel in my hands and exhumed all the remains stored in it. It was full of good old death metal and on its tombstone the inscription DEAD CARNAGE glowed in the dark.
The first thing that flashed through my mind when listening to the new "Flesh, Blood, Orgy" of these maniacs was the thought of equally rotten blood. My perception, like the bands, was shaped in the nineties of the last century. As if we were connected by the same sound, ideas, icy cobwebs of moldy death metal from ancient times.
On "Flesh, Blood, Orgy" there are references to bands like BOLT THROWER, ASPHYX, MASSACRE, LOUDBLAST, old Swedish school. It is done with a clear and legible message - to destroy everything alive within a radius of several kilometers. DEAD CARNAGE hit my taste perfectly. For today's listener, they may sometimes be too monotonous, dirty and ugly. It is played here for those born earlier and then for all those who can appreciate the beauty of the scabs of still honestly made coffins. The new album pours exactly as it should, the songs have the right pressure and impression. What more could you ask for? The album is decorated with a great cover, the sound is crushing like a hammer beating on white skulls in an ossuary. I might have appreciated even more dirt, more sulfur and stench, but just take that as the sigh of an old gravedigger. I will not just get this album out of my head. The grave is exhumed, the bones are crushed, the air is dead. It seems that everything is in the best order. A very good old school death metal album that will remind you of the days when good old Death still ruled the world!
