In my opinion Detonátor was the first band in Hungary whose music can be considered death metal in its original sense. This band was founded round 1986, influenced by undoubtedly the most brutal ones of that period. I can say with good reason that Detonátor was „the Hungarian Possessed”, and certainly lyrics and conception were about satan, death and violence. This demo was their 3rd release, because the 1st and 2nd demos were recorded in 1986 and in 1988, if I know well. Detonátor was so underground band that demos have not been released on official tapes but fans had to send a blank tape to them and they dubbed the material into it.This demo starts with an intro namely „Bevezetõ” (Introduction) - actually this is the best known part of Thus Spoken Zarathustra. Six songs can be found on this tape / CDR, all of them are fast, dark and brutal with typical hoarse voices of early death metal. The first one is about a satanic serial killer who makes himself ready for death. The second one (Angel of Death) is not a Slayer cover but shows us how the forces of evil and death triumph over life. The third and the fourth songs are dreadful visions about the depths of a dark human soul and the last days of mankind. The fifth item (The Realm of Horror) describes the dreads of nazi concentration camps. The final song (Infected Souls) is a blasphemous stuff about the degeneration of morals. This demo is a „must have” for fans of old Hungarian scene, although CDR version is already out of stock.
