The Maenads, female followers of Dionysus in ancient Greek mythology, embody absolute devotion, passion, and unbridled energy. As the priestesses of the god of ecstasy, frenzy, and wine, they lived in a constant state of transcendence, immersed in a holy frenzy that drove them to extreme acts. With their bodies and souls surrendered to divine ecstasy, they moved on the boundaries between order and chaos, between the human and the divine, dissolving every conventional rule.

The 2021 release of Eldingar, "Maenads," draws inspiration from these ancient figures, delving into the dark recesses of the human soul and highlighting the power of tradition and paganism. The album intertwines the untamed, relentless voices of black metal with folk influences, creating a sonic journey that reflects the wild nature of the Maenads and the eternal quest for the divine through frenzy and redemption.
