I knew something strange was going on inside. Yet I entered. Into an old, long-abandoned tomb, about which terrible legends were told. It was deep night and death lurked around every corner. I was sick of the modern world. I wanted to go to the other side, to the kingdom of shadows. I open the rusty door and listen to the new album by Swedish maniacs GLUTTONY. The last time was with the recording "Cult of the Unborn" (2018 - review linked below the article). It became my guide to the underworld for a long time. The new one has the same power. It cracks coffin lids. Most of the musicians in the band have played together in the thrash death metal band MY OWN GRAVE, as I'm sure the veterans know. In GLUTTONY they present traditional, raw and rough Swedish death metal. A classic that I never get tired of. The gentlemen crush it very well, with that legendary dark sparkle in their eyes. With total commitment and a clear and distinct goal - to destroy us all with music, bury us alive and burn us to ashes. Fans of INTERMENT, ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ENTRAILS, DISMEMBER, GRAVE will be as happy as I am. This is a bloodbath you'll love to drown in. Rage, hatred, angry zombies with only one thing on their minds. To eat your long-rotten flesh. This is exactly the variety of death metal that runs through my veins. The dirty sound, the typical rattling charge, reminiscent of a bag full of rotten bones. Everything's in perfect order. This is underground, of course, music from the old catacombs, from the graveyards where curses were once buried. I dare say that "Drogulus" has really succeeded. This album, which will haunt you in the midst of wild dreams, will enter you like a nightmare, like a demon of darkness. Enjoy! It's served raw meat that smells rancid. True, pure Swedish death metal from the old burial grounds!
