Limited to 300 copies. Polish Black Metal, atmospheric, fast and grim!

Released by Under the Sign of Garazel Productions. 2021 CD reissue. Jewelcase MCD.

I haven’t heard any other War album, but if they’re like “Ex Tenebris Nasceris Ut Deleas”, then they must be pretty damn good! This band is underrated - mostly due to the fact that they are unheard of. They limited this release to only 500, so their lack of popularity is understandable.

Here you have 4 talented musicians and good ideas. They have a cold, fast, melodic, pseudo-technical style that is entirely unique. The vocalist has a good voice for this music. It would be wrong to assume that this band has bad production just because they are a unheard of band that limits their material. This album actually has very good production compared to most black metal bands. What War has working the best for them, though, is the riffs. They are very melodic and melancholic, and they do it a lot better than more of the well-known bands of the genre. “Empty World” and “The Days of the Tyrants” are good examples of this. Their music is sort of “epic”, but there are no keyboards. It’s 100% raw instruments, and performed very well.

Like I said, I haven’t heard any other releases by this band, but if you happen to stumble upon this album or any other by War in the future, I advise you to pick it up. It will be money well worth spent. It’s funny to think that this band is the reason why the War from Sweden had to change their name. Well THIS War knows how to write good black metal, and a lot more people should take notice.
