The band DIE TOTEN KEHREN WIEDER MIT DEM WIND began their career with "VERARBEITUNG EINES SCHMERZES" (Processing a Pain). Like their debut album, its successor, "AM UFER DES LEE" (On the Shore of the Lake), is also being reissued, this time not on cassette but as a double LP.
The opening track of the 2005 album immediately demonstrates the justification for this reissue. Introduced by atmospheric synthetic sounds, the lengthy piece captivates with its punchy riffing, expressive vocals, and a wealth of variety. The following tracks maintain this high level of quality. Compared to "VERARBEITUNG EINES SCHMERZES," the sound and execution have improved significantly, and compositional progress is also evident. "AM UFER DES SEES" easily surpasses their debut and adds new facets to the band's signature sound.
With "AM UFER DES SEES," the project DIE TOTEN KEHREN WIEDER MIT DEM WIND has once again delivered a powerful album. The reissued double LP is limited to 300 copies and is likely to sell out quickly. Act fast!
6 songs of saturnine Black Metal, a journey through fog-laden obscurity towards abyssic black depths.
"Am Ufer des Sees" proves DTKWMDW to be deeply rooted in the atmospheric essence of Black Metal, summoning a contemptuous spirit which permeates the band´s unique vision and led to the creation of highly stirring yet scornfully cold Black Metal.
Released as 3-sided DLP in a brown cardboard packaging with 8-page booklet including all lyrics and unreleased old photography, portraying the backwoods atmosphere in which "Am Ufer des Sees" was recorded. Issued in 300 copies.
