Lucifer’s Children’s brand of doom is exactly up my alley: seeped in the occult and leaning heavily on thick and slow riffing. Like peeking from behind a curtain into a coven’s ritual, Devil Worship feels fun, a bit dangerous and just a bit campy (in a vaudevillian way).
Seven chants of haunted Doom Metal from Paraguay, influenced by the ancient Gods like Withfinder General, Pentagram, Black Hole and many more
A classic Doom inspired by the great names of the genre with just a light touch of psychedelia (maybe the Acid Satanism rubbed off?), Lucifer’s Children is a really enjoyable record on the whole, but what I really gather from the album is a promising future. The riffs are all nice and thick, and the overall feel well developed. Lidi has a beautiful, at times quite operatic voice that adds depth and a certain eeriness to the recording. There are a few mistakes to correct and a more polished production would go a long, long way but I have grown really fond of this album. I’m looking forward to what the future holds for Lucifer’s Children.
