"In to Samhain 1995" split CD Mysterious demo recordings from 1995 finally unearthed. Two ancient projects by Rob Darken of Graveland. Dark ritual performance done by Mysterial and atmospheric dungeon synth by Lord Wind recorded back in 1995's, when the black rites were performed deep in the cursed woods at the old pagan mountain.
An older version of the track "Signal for Fight" appeared as "Eternal Might of Pagan Warriors" on the self titled demo of Wolfkhan.

On the day of the Winter Solstice, the creative alliance of two legendary Russian labels «Stellar Winter» / «Frostsсald» suddenly presented a new release. And this CD, for some reason, is special – it is the first release of Rob Darken in Russia after his cooperation with Slavonic groups in «Eastern Hammer» split. Previously, in Russian music distros, we could only get a few Darkens CD’s, because the iron curtain of German label «No Colours» was very strong and only elite Russian traders could distribute their products. Banned for some time in Europe and re-issued in the USA through «Forever Plagued Records», Graveland albums started being sold in our country. From that side blew Lord “vinland” wind with the album «Ales Stenar» and the reissue of «Atlantean Monument» made by «WolfTyr». Finally, an exclusive edition of oldest Darken’s records, never published before, was presented in Russia with the title «In to Samhain 1995».
I think that even the biggest fans of his music could not find information anywhere about Mysterial, except on the booklet of this disc. And only on this disk they can listen to the songs from the early era of Lord Wind, only one of which (“Signal for Fight”) was released later on the «Forgotten Songs» album. So don’t expect revelations – the recording quality is not the cleanest - but even in this form, paradoxically, it sounds better than most modern bands playing similar music. And through those years, in this raw sounding is discernible the handwriting of the master. Only one person could create such a variety of music: if the Mysterial part «Samhain Mysterium» reveals his name as ritual ambient with many chorales, occult atmosphere, full of mythology and trance through all 20 minutes of the sound, then Lord Wind with 8 instrumental tracks of «Rehearsal ‘95» leads the listener through the rehearsal catacombs of a distant youth.
Created by all the canons of underground recording, this split has not only an archival value, but it is a good product even by today's standards. It is good news that now all audiophiles can listen to the cult and buy this disc from Russian labels in the first place. We can only hope that this CD is the beginning of Graveland releases blitzkrieg in Russland, something we could just dream of before.
