This is a promotional 7″ with one track from the new album, and a medley of multiple tracks on side B.

Everyone knows Revenge's iconic sound, and this EP doesn't differ at all. From the beginning to end, both songs are filled with chromatic and chaotic guitar solos, played with spontaneity but also remaining to be tight. The vocals are mind-blowing, with a higher-pitched vocalist who emanates hate-filled shrieks, and another vocalist who gurgles into the microphone, adding to the murky layer of gristle that's been placed over this hyper-aggressive war metal. Speaking of the production, this EP is incredibly sharp, with treble-heavy guitars and very discernible drums, but the overall mixing is so noisy and destructive that sometimes it's difficult to hear everything clearly.
As for the actual music, expect nothing more than gut-wrenching and excessively pissed off war metal that ranges in speed from slow, grindy and impactful to almost inaudibly fast. The insane alternations in speed also contribute to the insanity of the tracks and the unpredictability of the surprisingly co-ordinated song structures. Designed to make you feel constant suspense with stabs of noise, especially on the second track, this record is an example of how Revenge utilises their belligerent elements to make songs feel heavier, rather than relying on one repeated tempo or motif that becomes dull quickly.
There's a pretty set-in-stone approach to songwriting with Revenge, in which they implement a wild stop-start routine with sinister drones and abrasive returns to speed. The riffs themselves are primitive, and have a punk influence, despite being downtuned and groovy. There is a heavy use of pick slides and harmonics to add to the noisy onslaught of the record. Intertwined with the guitar work, the drumming is technically apt with a combination of vicious fills and blast beats. Another impressive characteristic of the music on this release is that, unlike a lot of war metal, the playing is chillingly tight.
Musically speaking, this EP is inaccessible, unhinged and offensive, but this belligerence is utilised in a way that gets Revenge's message of hatred and triumph across with brief execution and blunt force. As always, Revenge knocked it out of the part with this release.
