Stormheit's nationally romantic music is like a missing link between pagan metal and domestic iskelmärock. When I mentioned in passing to the album cover that I sensed a slight channeling of J. Karjalainen in the song, I got an answer about the use of Mamba in advertising. After reading it, I can no longer listen to the song "Siksy sieluni yö" without the Mamba association.Let everyone take the vocal comparisons in their own way, but at least they bring their own kind of soft personality to Stormheit's sensitive channeling. The autumn mood pieces emanate sublimity in their delicate way, mainly when the acoustic guitar plays and the vocals flow, reminding a bit of Quorthon-like dexterity. What is lost in the direct singing skill - or should I say in the way of interpretation - is taken back in the fire of emotions. And that's enough. Namely, it puts together somewhat lukewarm arrangements and pieces of composition brilliantly.I don't think that the vocal side of the album will warm up the entire audience, because with such a strong personality there is always the risk of a double-edged sword. But it is what it is, and explaining or apologizing won't change anything. Stormheit operates naturally in its own way and in the end that's all that matters.Even more so, the problem with this little play is that although there is enough sensitivity and melancholy, the songs themselves need more meat around their bones. Spins the puck smoothly, but as if leaving hunger. As a sort of interlude, however, Syksy sieluni yöt plays quite nicely and in that sense works, for example, as a way to get to know the expression of a unique band.
