Second demo previously only available as a split with Hateful (released in 2002) with one bonus track.
This was the first Szron release I ever had the pleasure of hearing, and it probably gave me unlrealistic expectations for the rest of their releases. The production on this album is in my opinion, the perfect recorded black metal sound. It is appropriately grainy and "organic," but retains balance and coherance. You can honestly hear every instrument, right where it's supposed to be, sans overproduced Andy Sneap/Triple Rectifier/Century Media shlock. The performances on this demo are generally Darkthrone (Particularly "Under a Funeral Moon") worship, but if you sought this band, you knew to expect that. The battery acid chants and harmonized tremelo picked riffs abound, and the drummer, unlike "Transilvanian Hunger" worshippers, changes tempo to great effect. The highlight of this demo is definately "Lycanthropiac," the second track. All the elements previously mentioned make appearances, and there's also some epic semi-melodic guitar riffs bouncing along with almost OI! rhythm in the main motif.
