Triskelion presents “Triumph of Misanthropy”, a debut album that distils the spirit of their earlier demos into a refined yet uncompromising black metal offering. Hailing from the Iberian Peninsula, a land steeped in myth and ancient rites, this trio channels both their regional heritage and the traditional ethos of the genre into a work that is not only poignant but also punishing.
While several tracks have roots in the band’s prior demo material, these compositions have been reshaped and polished, shedding some of their past abrasiveness in favour of a sharper sound. This shift does not dilute their ferocity, instead magnifies the impact of the arrangements, allowing the individual musicianship to shine without losing their cohesiveness.
