Deinonychus released this 5-track cd in 1996. If I had to choose a word to describe the sound and over all atmosphere of the album it would have to be, EVIL. From the intro onward, the early Burzum influence is present, raw sounding and catchy guitar riffs. “A Throne on my long Awaited Desires” starts with dark melodies and suddenly it is interrupted with Marco Kehren’s truly unique and disturbing voice. It is more like a demented scream, a sorrowful wail of anguish. “A Shining Blaze Over Darkland” is another standout track in this mini album; this track will certainly appeal to fans of the older sounding black metal bands like Mayhem and Burzum. The last track is “Tears will Flow” which is maybe the weakest song. Even though this is very much a black metal album, it is interesting how Deinonychus stays away from the 100mph drumming, concentrating more on catchy dark melodies and the truly unique vocal style that defines this band. Later albums by this band sound nothing like this release, so it is really worth acquiring to see the early sound of Deinonychus, highly recommended
