"Despite this French bands debut album being a strong contender, it has to be said that it was somewhat diluted by a final mix that managed to lose some of its overall impact. Okay I agree that the more traditional blends of Black Metal like the one that Vorkreist convey, should keep a rawness about them, but I don't think I was alone in my thought that some of the dynamics were lost. So then it is with great pleasure that I can confirm that the bands second offering sports a far better sound quality yet retains that all important unpolished feel. With there roots firmly implanted within the Black Metal genre, the band have brought in more of a Death Metal vibe as well to proceedings noting that it isn't all about speed and wasp like guitars. They are not adverse to slowing down a little and getting into a groove, before once again delving headlong into some serious shredding, thus making the whole story far more interesting and exciting. There is no doubt that this album is going to propel this band onto bigger things. With a French Black Metal scene that is both dynamic and simply bristling with quality bands at the moment, Vorkreist have certainly managed to put themselves near the top of the pile. This is simply stunning."
