This is their new album, "Virtus Pereundi" (Latin for "the virtue of death"), a powerful and refined musical offering that showcases the influences of post-rock, shoegaze, atmospheric black metal, and modern progressive rock. Formed in 2020 in the metropolis of Santiago, Chile, as a solo project by Vicente Miranda (guitarist and main songwriter), the band reformed a year later in the city of Concepción, aiming to break free from the stereotypes of extreme music thanks to a diverse range of sounds that sets them apart from their peers in the emerging scene. With successful performances during their debut tour for "Mandragora Autumnalis" (EP, 2022), the current quintet showcased their work in venues such as Teatro Bandera Negra, Teatro de Lota, the Río Laja Metal Fest, MiBar (Santiago), Valparaíso, Concepción, Cañete, and Tomé, supporting international bands like thisquietarmy (Canada), Pentagram (Chile), Mar de Grises, Rats Of Gomorrah (Germany), Recrucide, Tumulto, Dekapited, Innana, Bagual, IIII, Futhan, and Hellgarden, to name just a few prominent acts on the extreme metal circuit. Created independently, the album 2025 was recorded at Estudio La Arboleda (Bíobío Region) by Andrés Silva and Fidel Quinan, with the album's lead single released exclusively through Araucaria Negra Prods and the specialized website Black Metal Artist (France). These tracks ('Let Them Run Free', 'Fatamorgana') will have an exclusive promotional physical release on a 7-inch split vinyl, a collaboration with the Argentinian band Invictum. The cover art and inserts, created with oil paint, were done by Chilean artist Rodrigo Pereira. Featured by several music websites, the first single and its lyric video were directed by Felipe Eluti (Visceral/Eros Thanatos). It's worth noting that the 2025 lineup consists of Patricio Ríos (vocals and synthesizers), Fidel Quinan (bass), Gustavo Carrera (guitar), César Pulpeiro (drums), and Vicente Miranda, who handles compositions and lead guitar.
This album is perfect for fans of Alcest, Ulver, BORIS, Deafheaven, PORTAL, the introspective vibe of Deftones, and, in general, those seeking new elements of experimental sound.
