Later this year, your hungry hands can expect a CD by INCEST from Olsztyn.This reedition will feature the Moriar demo from 1992 as well the release spell session from 1995. This will be a classis death metal release in the vein of early AMON/DEICIDE.Finally, for the first time on CD, after a long, 30-year wait.

Some bands, if things didn't go well, they didn't, and if they did, they went down the drain. Incest from Olsztyn, forgotten for many, many years, and today - I won't say they're experiencing a renaissance, because it's not that great, but you can feel their business activity. The band, which faded into oblivion somewhere around the mid-nineties, remembered only by total underground maniacs, is now catching reissue after reissue. For some - because they simply created good death metal. For others - because Szymon Czech was involved in it at one time. In my opinion, any reason is good to get to know the two materials they left behind - the two demos "Moriar" and "Release Spell". Since I already had the pleasure of reviewing this compilation on CD – I will just remind you of what I scribbled about it over two years ago: “… the band comes from Olsztyn, and we know who ruled the Olsztyn and Polish districts back then. The band started with “V”. And in my opinion, you can hear that Incest looked up to their older colleagues, with greater successes under their belt. And if you read interviews with them, you will also see that they looked up to Peter and the rest, which in my opinion they then translated into music. This is not a complaint, because both “Moriar” and “Release Spell” are great to listen to – great for someone who is not put off by the demo sound, a certain clumsiness of the compositions and the naivety of the pioneers.” The vinyl is released just as well as the compact version and contains basically everything we got on the CD. Biography, a lot of cool and interesting photos, lyrics. That’s all and that’s all. And even if today it really sounds like a second-hand Wejder – we get a piece of music here. I suspect that this edition will be intended only for maniacs, but whatever – Incest is a very solid game from thirty years ago. Worth re-release, so if you don't have it in this version yet – consider it. In my opinion, you won't be disappointed.
