Moonrise "Majestat Leśnych Cieni" CD

Descripción I knew and know Belzagor primarily from his band/project Slavland and Lugburz, in which he once played. The following reissue is my first contact with Moonrise, a very positive one by the way. "Majestat Leśnych Cieni" was the only material recorded under this label by Belzagor and Tanatos, who also played in Lugburz. And what could have come out of it? Well, a very cool combination of the two bands mentioned here - Slavland and Lugburz. On the one hand, we have that pagan aesthetics, a bit of folk melodies mixed into the compositions and atmosphere, and on the other, a raw black metal punch. Belzagor took care of the music, and Tanatos of vocals and lyrics. It sounds really great and the whole thing bounds well. It's rough, garage-like, but with just the right atmosphere, sense of aesthetics and dynamics. And then there's the intro, which uses the music, sounds and effects from the scene at Wuthering Top from "The Fellowship of the Ring", adding a bit of variety with additional samples. A nice touch and a perfect hit, as the nostalgia woke up in you right from the get-go. I'm glad that Eastside reissued this material, unearthed it from the depths of the underground and released it on CD, because it's a piece of very good black metal that I think was known so far only to a very narrow group of people. The material was originally released on CDr by the band, probably in a small number of copies.
