NECROSANCT from Brighton (UK) delivered with their second album Incarnate (1992) and the third and last album Desolate (1993) an unparalleled brutal and obscure death metal thunderstorm.
If you are into chaotic and grinding metal of death with drums that have a certain D.D. Crazy (SARCOFAGO) vibe and you like a mixture between BOLT THROWER, PESTILENCE, BLASPHEMY and NOCTURNUS, then this is definitely for you.
Originally released on Swedish label Black Mark (BATHORY), the albums by NECROSANCT unfortunately never found access to a larger public due to BM’s poor label work. Now you have the chance to catch up and get these timeless death metal classics.

MC limited to 300 black tapes, 5 panel J-card.

This album is evil. How evil? It's more evil than the nazi-cartoon with Donald Duck. It's more evil than Grampa Simpson's worldly wisdoms. And, the fact that makes it more evil than anything else, it's more evil than the background music by Ren & Stimpy. Beat that! I don't know their lyrics, but heck I don't even need them to know that this is some of the most evil stuff that was ever created within the death metal genre, or any metal genre at all. I mostly search for albums that are lost in the past or just simply forgotten, because these album proof to be pure gold. I got this band recommended from a friend and after I saw the cover I knew that this must be some evil stuff and I would kick the living shit out of me when I miss this. And once again, a lost and forgotten album proofs to be one of the best in it's own genre.
Vocals: Evil stuff here. Imagine Becerra (Possessed) trying to growl like Tardy (Obituary) but ends up with sounding like legendary Van Drunen (Pestillence, Asphyx). Sounds wicked and awesome right? Ant Ryan is by far one of the most skilled growlers I heard so far, fuckin' Ryan sounds like Satan himself! Though I don't know why, his vocals remind me on Altars of Madness (Morbid Angel). He does not sound like David Vincent at all, but Ryan's vocals in combination with the music on "Incarnate" brings a morbid angel feel into it.
Guitars & Bass: Pure demo/debut-era morbid angel worship if you ask me, but, done in a very good way and still filled with own ideas. Crushing riffs and heavy basslines, you feel like walking through hell, they fit perfectly to this album and what stands out the most are the solos. It made my attention, that some songs slow down for the moment were the solo is played, and that's in fact a very good idea. While the bass and one guitar play in a slow, but yet very catchy way, the other guitar grinds over your ears with a sick-ass and fast (!) solo and remains harmonized to the.
Drums: Well, he is fast, but that's all. Mostly I don't like death metal that is just filled with blast-beats over blast-beats (the main reason why I hate brutal death), but I can make a exception for this album, because it just fits good to the over-the-edge fast and thrashy guitar riifs. Though, most of the songs on this album have some doomy or just slow parts, and he does proof that he has skills and can do something else then just blast-beats. But the drumwork could have been a little bit better, though really just a LITTLE bit.
You have a sick vocalist here who reminds you on van drunen, becerra and tardy. Riffs that remind you on altars of madness with fuckin' excellent solos and drums that don't get boring, though they kick the living shit out of everything in each song. So, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!
