Nekrodelirum was founded in 2011 by Norwegian based musician Sandra Stensen together with Swedish drummer/guitarist Erik Röjås(left the band in 2016) as their side project somehow able to bring back some good old memories of the once flamboyant melodic black/death metal scene back in its glorious days.
The strong mixture of Norwegian and Swedish black metal collided in their 2016 EP "Apocalypse" which gained a lot of positive feedback and reviews all around the world. Recorded in 2014 in Studio Souless of Ola Lindgren(Grave), "Apocalypse" is one piece of masterpiece which contains pure black metal elements and everything a decent black metal release needs, something that is lacking in today's new bands and releases. The essence is simply amazing and managed to capture the feel and mood to just embrace darkness eternally.Sandra's vocals are quite cold and evil sounding, suits the brilliant composition and song structures are all well arranged and delivered through an outstanding extreme metal musicianship. The guitar works somehow have some similar parts especially the melody lines throughout the entire EP but that that does not hurt at all when comes to revisiting the old and plain simple black metal music. As expected the atmosphere really stands out and impressively done while other instruments are all clearly heard including the bass guitars which blends well with the drums, a sign of a great production output by the band and the studio regardless their distance.Singing about nature, darkness and misanthropy among others sure will make the listeners feel like dwelling in a dream of déjà vu!
Nekrodelirium may face a lot of obstacles regarding the line up changes but that will never make Sandra stop or mess around with her passion and talent from expanding day by day as more tour dates are booked and the "Apocalypse" EP is selling fast elsewhere. This momentum can really help Nekrodelirium to achieve whatever they want in their journey and will always motivate the entire band to spread its wings of death and darkness.Recommended for fans of Windir, Naglfar and Sacramentum to name a few, this true dedication comes from the heart and Nekrodelirium is a perfect proof for many years to come!
