"In desolate remains" is the first release of the German Atmospheric Black Metal / Ambient Band "Schattenfestung" - recorded in the winter of 2020/21.
On this release Jonathan Surek (Cineastre / Kampfeswut) combines epic and enthralling melodies in the raw outfit of Black Metal, with captivating ambient passages. He is joined by Jasper Peddinghaus, whose genre-untypical drumming creates an energy, quite unique to "Schattenfestung".
Alexander Guth (Eisenklang / Everything dies in Autumn) is the writer of the impactful lyrics, which he effectively presents utilizing his powerful voice.
