An outburst of abhorrent and wreaking Black/Death Metal from the most muciddungeons of Linz, Austria. Written half a decade ago now finally to be released on Digipak CD.
Spectres & Teeth are a duo from Austria that plays an old school mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their 2020 ep "No Magick Spawns!" which was released by Into Endless Chaos Records. A synth orientated intro starts off the ep along with some clean playing a few seconds later while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly before going into a heavier direction. The riffs also add in a great amount of melody and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard. When tremolo picking is utilized it also gives the songs more of a raw feeling while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them. The vocals are also in between black metal screams and death metal growls along with the solos and leads being done in a very dark, chaotic and melodic style.The music also adds in a decent amount of 90's influences, throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as the synths also make a brief return on a later song along with a couple of tracks also adding in a brief use of melodic chants and vocals. The production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover Occultism and Darkness themes. In my opinion Spectres & Teeth are a very great sounding old school mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Invocation Of Abhorrent Force" and "Beast Of Earth".
