“In the abyss we yearn for salvation
In darkness we conceive light

Surrender thy mind;
The burden is to be carried no more
Sacrifice thy flesh
And through chaos,
Evoke creation
And ascend to the everlasting pantheon of existence”

Apolytrosis dwelves around self-indulgence and the exploration of one’s inner self, diving into the subconscious and contesting with inmost chaos. The album consists of 8 tracks, each one representing a stage in this process.
Composing this concept album has been an internal struggle through which we experimented and exposed ourselves to new lyrical and musical paths previously untrodden. Each track was approached and composed by portraying each state of being. The album serves not as a continuance of The 7th Awakening but rather as the next chapter in the evolution of Temple of Evil.

Cyprus is not necessarily known for sinister Black Metal. But since mid-2008, a dark existence has manifested itself in the sunny state. In an unholy union, TEMPLE OF EVIL has formed to wrap their philosophy and ideology in a musical garment. But it took some time until the hidden creation first saw the face of human existence. In the beginning of 2015, TEMPLE OF EVIL released their first opus "The 7th Awakening" and caused a murmur throughout the Black Metal underground. From then on, the atmospheric ritual was also celebrated on stage before the quartet retreated into the shadows. Until 2021.
The TEMPLE OF EVIL signed a contract with the renowned Black Metal label Folter Records and will send out another message. "Apolytrosis" is marked by the fire of the unholy cult and carried by its dark atmosphere. Definitely an underground spark that will spread from the Mediterranean island to the mainland like a fire and recruit new followers.
