The title translates to "suicidal angels" in English.Sebevrazední andìlé is a major step up from Stíny and I adored that full-length. It just goes to show how fantastic Trist are at what they do.Sebevrazední andìlé, the second full-length album from the Czech outfit is considerably different from the previous. It's sound is clearer, thus making it sound more professional and as if more time has been placed into the record as a whole. The fact that the production is now crystal clear may perhaps take away from the affect Trist forced upon the listener first time round. The raw and slightly amateurish sound was atmospheric in a way that suited Trist's style of play, but having developed since then, which actually wasn't that long ago from the debut full-length, Trist have successfully woven their new sound around a better production. It's clear and allows the listener the ability to pay closer attention to the affect each individual instrument has upon the record as a whole. As expected, ambient pieces of guitar work are coupled with beautifully crafted ambient passages. Every section compliments one another and works in tangent. This allows Trist to express they meaning behind the work more clearly to the listener, which is important. Establishing that emotional connection is what sets any piece of music apart from another which doesn't do any such thing.Emotion is very important here. Unless you're suffering from some sort of depression and pain, I advise you steer clear. Overly depressing music isn't to the liking of everyone and that is what this is, overly depressing music that intends on bringing you down with it. As the lyrical themes are not clear, one can only assume they are fitting. The context of the lyrics is more likely to be very fitting in context of the music than not. This is important in furthering the relationship between the band itself and the target audience. A stable relationship is pivotal in maintaining interest, which for a record like this is imperative due to the length of the two songs available. The repetition is an issue in the foreground again. It's not to everyone's liking, so beware, there is plenty of repetition. Although this is the case, that does not mean to say the musicianship for the record is poor because it isn't.Generally speaking Trist's material is always well written and well thought out. It has a particular target audience and appeals to them greatly. That's Trist's major strength, appealing to it's audience and controlling the amount of interest they have by creating astonishing soundscapes with highly polished atmospheres, lovely melodies and despair depicting vocals.Trist are fantastic at what they do. Although the first and second tracks can sound similar at times, they are both still highly enjoyable.
