Heimatblick is a real place; a small village I grew up in, where I spent countless hours, alone or in the company of friends.
I’ve grown distant from the world of myths, occult themes, and old tales. Life itself, I’ve learned, can conjure far darker thoughts within our own minds than any story ever told.
So I gathered those memories, emotions, truths, and poured them into words, melodies and sound. What emerged is a blackened mass of fear, panic, pressure, sweat, nostalgia, hunger, loneliness, adrenaline, home, senselessness, failure, self-loathing, alcohol and arrogance.
Lyrically, it is painfully real. Unfiltered. Honest. Raw. The album is about struggles also mentally with the development as a human nowadays. With all its negativity and daily fights.
From the ruins of my former home,
something darker, stronger, and eternal shall rise.
