XERIÓN is a band formed by Nocturno in 2001 in Ourense, after leaving his previous band, REGNVM IRAE (considered the first Galician Black Metal band). Xerión delves into Black Pagan Metal with Galician folk instruments, enriching their music with a wealth of sounds that create a truly rich atmosphere. Their composition is a fusion of Black Metal with touches of Thrash, Ambient, and traditional Galician music. They have an extensive discography, with their latest full-length album, "Escarnio, maldizer e Morte," released in 2016. Their lyrics are primarily based on Galician mythology and folklore.
