Cruzeiro is a doom metal band from Spain who got their start in 2019 with the release of their demos. Following some lineup changes, the group dropped a few singles and an EP over the past few years, but has come back in a big way with their first full-length album "Hic Sunt Dracones". Here, Cruzeiro delivers an occult heavy, psychedelic brand of doom that, rather than subscribing primarily to the low and slow trudge of many of their counterparts, has a barreling cadence, giving plenty of nods to traditional heavy metal along the way. This gives their sound a deliciously sinister but thoroughly engaging epicness, a devilish tome conjured from centuries past. To top it all off, Cruzeiro boasts a most commanding enchantress of a vocalist whose powerful and haunting odes will leave you utterly spellbound. "Hic Sunt Dracones" will be released digitally and in physical format on March 26, 2025 via the combined forces of Interstellar Smoke Records, Vertebrae Records, La Rubia Producciones, and Doomshire Tapes.
