What we find here is a split between two very raw Black Metal bands from Portugal. Morte Incandescente are for me the best band of the split, and their song is quite varied for this kind of Black Metal and its different parts show the listener several atmospheres this duo can reach. Mons Veneris are even noisier and more primitive than Morte Incandescente, and they have some good ideas with some dissonant riffs and effects. They are both long songs, so it makes it an interesting release and a good way to get into these bands for the first time. I would recommend this split to anyone into the chaotic bands of the LLN French circle like Mütiilation or Vlad Tepes, as both are obviously influenced by their sounds and aesthetics, and even some of the dirtiest bands of the old Polish scene.
