Noitasapatti "Kuolemattomille Maille" CD

The debut full-length album by a Finnish band authentically titled 'Kuolemattomille maille' (to the eternal lands) is a Scandinavian black metal opus from the depths of the ageless forests. The album consists of five diverse songs with total duration exceeding 40 minutes. Besides the two outstanding epic long tracks in the vein of Bathory, there are shorter, more dynamic and sharp songs. The music of the band roots in black metal of the 90s with expressive vocals where angry howling alternates with hysterical screams in the vein of Burzum while guitar riffs intertwine with melodic key lines. The influence of early British death/doom metal is evident here along with Finnish Viking metal and old-school progressive music. On the record the band uses folk instruments: harmonica, horns, bouzouki. They definitely diversify typical black metal sound.
