Order Of The White Hand are a band from Finland that plays a national socialist form of pagan/black metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Korpimaa" which was originally released on cd by Tanhu Productions but re-issued on cassette in 2015 by Vanguard Productions.
A very dark, melodic and atmospheric sound starts off the album along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and a high seconds alter high pitched black metal screams are added onto the recording and the solos and leads also bring a very raw and melodic feeling to the recording.
Most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and all of the songs stick to either a slow or mid paced musical direction and when synths are utilized they gives the songs more of an atmospheric and epic feeling while the guitars remain very heavy and raw throughout the recording and the outro starts out very silent before adding in military marching music that closes the album with a war like and nationalistic feeling
Order Of The White hand creates a style of national socialist pagan/black metal that is very raw, great and epic sounding and relies more on slow and dark riffs than fast riffs to get their point across, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Finnish and cover Nordic pride, Anti Christianity, Satanism, and National Socialism themes.
In my opinion Order Of The White Hand are a very great sounding national socialist pagan/black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this cassette re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Pakananrykki" and "Korpimaa pt. II".
