1 hour of music and history the Israeli death metallers, including a 15 song concert. If ever there was a country bred for death metal, Israel is it, given the day-to-day struggles, carnage and real life atrocities. Salem's been around since '86, yet is only now breaking into Western markets. Their videos showcase both the physical and musical maturity within the band, with the sepia-toned, anti-terrorism video 'Act Of War' verging on political ideology. The hour long concert is shot more artsy than most DVDs, utilizing double exposure (overlaid images, including vintage WW II footage, or stuff from Salem's videos), as well as slo-mo, and lots of face time for the crowd, who are onscreen almost as much as the band. Continuity doesn't seem to matter, with Ze'ev Tananboim seemingly jumping into the audience, mid-song, although still singing.
