Triangulum "Victory in Death" CD Digipack

After 14 years of existence, spanning 3 demos, 5 splits and two compilation releases, the debut full-lenght of Triangulum is finally conjured.
One of the oldest and most important projects of J.H. aka Dread, who should need no introduction, being one of the cornerstones of the Cleveland Raw Black Metal scene and America UGBM, Triangulum has always presented itself as a faithful but refreshing entity, and a powerful one in the 21st Century Raw Black Metal scene, with Dread's trademark hypnotic riffage, raw tape-recording techniques and haunting sound, however, "Victory in Death", although not leaving those elements behind, is quite a different beast.
With much cleaner and more well balanced production than previous releases, Dread conjures much more epic and melodic sound blueprints, certainly with influence from USBM greats like Judas Iscariot, but also clearly following along the path of some recent tyrants like Grizelda, Batilda or Kestrel. Victory in Death is indeed a step away from the haunted, Death-meditating negativism of previous works, but a much more triumphant and courageous facing of death and its impending demise, like a maturation of a hero, who now faces death, not with jitter and trepidation, but with certainty and honor. A "Transformation of Fear" indeed.

After releasing several demos and splits since 2008, (TZALEMOTH, SLOTH, BATILDA, EL AHRAIHA…), mysterious raw black metal entity TRIANGULUM releases its first album “Victory in Death” in CD. a cold and raw production, but still melodic at times, underlines the inspired work of this new opus which will certainly delight amateurs of typical old school USBM. Definitely a must-have !
