Slaughtered Whores of Satan is a three way split featuring three European black metal bands and was released in 2013 through a joint effort between three different labels, Schattenkult Produktionen, Total Death Records and Unholy Grave Procession. The album runs just shy of forty-five minutes, with Spain’s Akerbeltz offering four tracks, Germany’s Waffenträger Luzifers bringing five songs and Italy’s Nebrus finishing things up with three offerings.
Akerbeltz leads the charge with a rather raw and abrasive homage to the second wave. Led by Körgull the Exterminator’s drummer, known here as Akerbeltz, the music offers a cold and blasting take with leanings towards the Tsjuder and early Darkthrone camps of black metal. Basically, frosty black metal with a tendency to frenetically blast. The project has been around since 1996 and has quite a few releases under its belt, so it’s surprising that Akerbeltz hasn’t garnered much attention. Regardless, the tracks here are solid, in a raw and abrasive kind of way, and fans of Judas Iscariot and Tsjuder should enjoy what’s here.
Waffenträger Luzifers fires out from the gate with the rampant barn burner, “Master Satan”, that basically offers a blackened thrashing version of rocking the fuck out. The band’s five tracks showcase galloping riffs and choppy percussion and chest thumping power chords that surge forth as scraped screams and shouts boil over the top. It’s actually quite sloppy and more than a tad amateur, but it’s fun as hell. There are a few surprising bursts of fast paced trem riffing and a caustic dose of blasts, but the focus remains on the blackened, galloping, fist-pumping fury; leather, spikes and bullet belts required.
The closing ceremonies are offered by Nebrus, which showcase three tracks of fast moving and hypnotic black metal that leans more towards the atmospheric side of things. It could just be that after the barrage of blasting from Akerbeltz and the drunken fury of Waffenträger Luzifers, the swirling trem riffs and mid-tempo percussion just seem to flow hazily along. Double bass runs and cascading, distorted riffs often release their fury, yet the slower moving, doom-laden streams begin to bubble along again. Despite the sweeping nature of their sound, Nebrus offers a dose of tempered yet caustic black metal with oft-doomy atmospheres.
Slaughtered Whores of Satan offers three drastically different takes on black metal from three different bands released jointly by three different labels. It’s an interesting offering and the bands offer some killer material, but the pairing is a little odd; the slow moving Nebrus, the blackened brawling of Waffenträger Luzifers and the cold fire of Akerbeltz. Despite the differences the split does play through quite nicely and it’s one that fans of abrasive, caustic black metal should look into.

This tracks are really two different demos, the first two tracks were recorded in the 2011 ab. and kept unreleased as I had trouble with another band that was going to appear in a split.
After this I had an offer for another split with more serious bands so I decided to record the song Ritual Assassination in the 2012 ab., this was released in Cd by Schattenkult productionen plus Unholy Grave Procession plus Total Death records.
